" Quiet green mother" for Stille Linde from la Porziunkola, Assisi
There is this "shadow" behind the back of the rider, it has the shape of a tree, and it gives me the feeling that this landscape supports the traveller on the long journey. Yes, it is an interesting figure ... the eyes are closed and I see an expression and a colour of suffering on the face ... but there is much more than that ... it is the long time before Easter and the trees are alive.
