Der Schatten wird zum Gold

Nun lebe ich schon einige Wochen mit dem Gemälde "Die Tagebuchschreiberin". Doch da war noch was, was "Unerlöstes" sozusagen.

Schatten "sad and bitter", zufällig ergeben
nichtssagendes Grau hinter der Schreiberin
Schatten "sad and bitter" rekonstruiert
Elias-Ikone, Blattgold und "Bild im Bild" vorbereitet
Die Schreiberin und ihr neues Hintergrundbild
Elias, Detail
Gesamtansicht

Kenner sehen, daß außer dem Schafs-Hund nun noch 2 Katzen am Boden sind...

  1. This is the "shadow" that gives your painting the true destination. Icon and painting make a sacred home together. Well done !!! :-)

  2. I like that the change came on' Candlemas'. Very fitting that the day that has more light brings also light to the painting. So beautiful!
Yes Dori, We had a tremendous storm come through where I live.
It brought with it strong winds and huge amounts of snow.
So amazing to watch the mighty swirling snow spin wildly outside the window at night.
The sun shone brightly today as we make deep paths in the snow .
Everyone busy moving snow with shovels, calling out to one another and smiling. Thank you for thinking of me. I am safe.

  3. Dear Stille Linde, dear Ramona, I like your messages. Thank you, Stille Linde for every word. You know, what happens in a paintings birth. Thank you, Ramona for understanding the mysterious connection between "Candlemas" and the painting and for your report of the blizzard! Thanks goodness, you (and your cat) are safe!!
Best greetings to both of you, my dearest art-and blogger-fiends abroad. I think, we are a nice art-and blogger-triangle :)

  4. Thank you Dori for those warm sentiments. I feel so fortunate that I have found such a fine triangle to make such a connection with.
